Matt Field - FD Driver and Drift Cave Founder
Matt thrives off every form of racing and continues to advance his skills in all forms of driving. As soon as he got his license, Matt’s focus was to learn how to drift and perfect the art. He competed in many grassroots events and gained his Formula Drift license through the Just Drift series in '09.
Not only is he a passionate driver, but Matt has also dedicated his profession expanding his talents as a technician, fabricator, engine builder, driver & team owner.
He reminds himself daily that he started like everybody else; through grassroots competitions. Matt's a proud supporter of the sport; giving back to local organizations, Formula Drift, and sponsors by offering driving instruction, event judging and car setup advice.
Three short years into the Formula Drift season, Matt landed his first ever podium topping, 2nd place win at Texas Motor Speedway in 2013. Since that round, he's not planning on coming down.
Matt has accelerated his drift career as a pro driver and premier business owner at the insane young age of 24 years old. In 2013, him and his crew opened the garage doors to The Drift Cave - their newest brainchild and motorsports/fabrication shop located in Silicon Valley - San Jose, CA.
